In Loving Memory of Emily Nichole
April 15, 1990 - May 10, 2025
A.K.A. “Em”, “Emmy”, “Marley”, “Embily”, “Billy”, “Tissy”, “Penguin”, “Maple”, and “Emarly Narkle”
Our hearts are broken as we share the devastating news of the sudden and unexpected passing of Emily Nichole on May 10, 2025, at the age of 35. Her absence has left a space too loud to be quiet and too bright to be dimmed.
Born in Tacoma, Washington, Emily came into the world with spark, sass, and purpose. She lived with an unmatched intensity—loving deeply, laughing loudly, and giving all of herself to the people and passions that mattered most.
Emily was a woman of many names—some given, some claimed, and all unmistakably her. She was famously “extra” in the best ways, with a pipsqueak voice that packed a punch, a laugh that could take over a room, and a magnetic presence that left no one the same after meeting her.
You could always count on Emily to show up to family events and sports games rocking pink or purple, her nails freshly done, and a 32 oz Gold Lotus in hand—pineapple, extra cream, and extra-extra light ice (because the real ice was meant to be crunched on the side).
She was a queen of crafts and diamond art, a gnome enthusiast (yes, really), and an expert in obscure national holidays. She ran marathons for fun, colored with perfection, and never passed up a chance to blast *NSYNC at full volume. Her catchphrase? “I gotsta go!“
Her greatest joy and proudest role was being “Mom” to Jayden (13), Tallie (10), and Emma (5). Everything she did, she did for them. From glittery school projects to living room dance parties, Emily filled their world with love, creativity, and fierce devotion.
Emily moved through life with a signature shuffle and a slight head tilt—always appearing ready for the next wild idea or quick-witted comeback. Her body carried its challenges, including seizures that were a frequent and uninvited guest. But in true Emily fashion, she met them with grit, sarcasm, and zero interest in pity. She wasn’t fragile. She was fierce, funny, and wonderfully stubborn.
Her passing was sudden and devastating. We didn’t get a warning, a chance to say goodbye, or one last sarcastic comment. But we got the immense gift of knowing her, loving her, and being loved by her—and that will echo louder than any farewell.
She is survived by her three beautiful children; her loving parents; two sisters; two brothers; and a wide, devoted circle of family and friends whose lives are brighter because she was in them.
If Emily were here, she'd probably roll her eyes at the fuss, crack a bad joke to make us laugh through the tears, and insist we play NSYNC on the drive home. So we will. For her. Because once you’ve been loved by Emily, you carry a little of her loud, messy, beautiful magic with you forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 25, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 900 Erin Lane W., Eatonville, WA 98328. All who loved Emily are invited to come, laugh, cry, wear purple, and remember a woman who never did anything halfway.
A GoFundMe account has been created to support her children and help carry forward the fierce, loving legacy their mother left them.
