Blake took his final ride on his motorcycle on August 4, 2026, in Everett, Washington.

Blake was born in Pullman, Washington, and joined his big sister, Ashley. He had an inquisitive mind, no fear, a thirst for knowledge (as long as it wasn’t the kind that came from a classroom), and a “fighting” spirit that led to a few phone calls to his mom and meetings in the principal’s office.

Blake loved learning how to fix things with his dad. This led to a love for cars, motorcycles, and anything mechanical he could get his hands on. Blake found a new peace in his life when he moved to Eastern Montana to live on the farm with his mom and stepdad, Scott. He learned the pride that came from making sure the livestock only had one bad day and to only approach gates straight on because they leave one hell of a dent in a Ford Ranger.

Blake realized that between the grasshoppers that attacked around every corner and the wood posts that came out of nowhere, maybe full-time farm life wasn’t for him.

In recent years, he was living in Kenmore, Washington, where he worked for Discount Tire until recently, when he started a new path as a Service Advisor for Kendall Subaru.

Blake lived a lot of life in his short 21 years, but the one accomplishment he was most proud of was reaching two years of sobriety in July of this year. Blake struggled with addiction but is proof that people do change and they do recover as he was still living sober when he passed away.

He was an old soul who captured the hearts of everyone around him, and his passing has left a huge hole in all of our hearts.

Blake is survived by his dad, Jeremy Frenick of Grande Prairie, AB, his mom and stepdad, Scott and Robbie Savelkoul of Culbertson Montana, his siblings, Ashley Frenick, Zak Savelkoul, and Natalie Savelkoul, his grandparents, Pat and Debbie Frenick of Casper Wyoming, and Sue Parkin of St. Maries Idaho, his uncles, Zac Frenick, Cory Frenick, Justin Dent, and Mike Savelkoul, his aunts, Jamie Deaton, Kim Gordon, Rachel Vigue, and Julie Savelkoul; and many friends who turned into family.

Last, but certainly not least, Blake’s best dog, Hanke, who resides at the family farm in Culbertson Montana.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Papa Bob, Papa Wade, Victoria Moon, and Ed and Sandy Savelkoul.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
